A perennial onion that produces aerial topsets. These topsets onion can be eaten or replanted to multiply the plant. The Egyptian onion also produces a medium-sized bulb in the ground, which will divide the following spring.
The topsets can be planted in August, or in autumn.
The bulb, if not harvested, can remain in the ground all winter long and it will divide itself in the following spring.
